SceneXpress also known as The “X” and the “SeX”, is the new tracker started by members of the now-defunct ScL. Welcome to Torrent AVI, we are currently looking for authors to post new movie releases. Mostly interested in authors who can cover Games and/or the latest 0day Movie releases.  Those individuals should be able to speak English and be able to make 1 or 2 posts a day, which would take approximately 10 minutes of your time. Are you looking for quality private tracker invites and have no connections or cash to make that possible? Well today I will present a mini guide on how to score some invites quickly without losing self respect and without any connections or funds. The two basic ways one can go about this are to ‘earn it’ or you can simply’ ask for it’. Lets look at the first option.

Earning an Invite:
Invites are given to users who are going to contribute to the quality and content of the tracker site. To gain ’street cred’, the first thing you should do is join a semi-decent public or better yet private tracker and practice proper seeding habits.  The way to find those trackers are by using open tracker checking services that look for private torrent sites that are currently taking registrations either online, via email or via IRC. Services like Opentracker and BTRACS will list sites with open signups. Keep checking and cross referencing the tracker names in Google and eventually you will find a decent one open. You can go through that route and build up some stats to help you gain better tracker invites down the road or the lazier route is to visit some tracker invite forums and beg ask for some.

Tracker invite forums like BTRACS, Trackereactor, and Torrentinvites.net are great places to look for giveaways. There are many tracker collectors around, who on a monthly basis rack up invites for being power users and VIP’s. These individuals tend to sell/trade the better ones and give the lesser ones away in exchange for rep or feedback points. Some of these giveaways come with certain requirements. People who giveaway decent trackers want to make sure they are giving their invite away to the right person, who will not get banned and is not a spy. Sometimes all it takes is one cheater to bring down an entire invite tree and in the process the inviter could get banned as well. So the general practice is to ask for a speed test proof and/or for a profile screen shot of another tracker you may belong to.  That way your download stats and ratio’s can be judged and serve as proof of how good a user you are. It’s like a credit check that will determine how much you can be trusted. Having great stats at a decent private tracker can get you very far down the road. While visiting Trackereactor, I noticed there are recruiters just waiting to sign up people, you just have to politely ask for an invite. I didn’t even have to make a post. Within minutes i was granted bonus points to a particular tracker i belonged to and also gained 2 invites. The entire process took 20 minutes. Proper etiquette calls for you to leave them positive feedback and leave a thank you comment. That shows you simply care and are appreciative, which i was.

No one likes a beggar and every man knows you need to usually wine and dine them before you score a touchdown. So the key is to participate and contribute to the tracker forums and the first step should be to visit the introduction section and simply say hello and partially describe your intentions.  Then go ahead and place some comments in any of the open threads in the general discussion/chat sections. Ask for help and/or advice and the senior members will guide you and even give you invites. The key here is top be courteous and be concise on what you are looking for. Which leads me to my brief story on BTRACS forums.

I spent two weeks visiting the entertaining BTRACS forums in search of an elusive hip mid-level private tracker one usually always has to either trade for or purchase.  After posting for it in the “Request Section” i was quickly greeted by senior members wishing me luck and some even offering to help me find it. The staff were very nice and after several conversations and internal messages I managed to befriend someone and just by coincidence they offered me that invite for helping them expose  someone on another invite forum who cheated them previously.  The phrase “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” paid off for me. Sounds weird and it was but I happen to have exposed that scammer on another forum the week earlier before he scammed someone and was rewarded for it a week later . There are obviously scammers around but if you choose not to buy yourself in, you most likely will not run into them and using a “middleman” or 3rd party to execute your trade insures your safety. The entire search was a fulfilling experience that gave me faith in people and taught me to put my ego aside and ask questions. Within those two weeks i managed to score a handful of new cool niche tracker accounts and have made a few “digital” friends along the way. Who will all be gifted in the future. Anyways, I wish you good luck out there and may your horizons be broadened.

ZeroSec, one of the largest and once one of the best release blogs was recently sold on January 4th, 2010 to new owners. Initially everyone expected the new management to retain its old editors, until their staff was in place, therefore insuring a smooth transition without a drop in content.  But what happened next was both disgusting and baffling.  As soon as the keys were handed to the new management, they decided to install malicious cellphone ads targeted at US visitors and shortly after hastily switch servers. These ads would ask for users cell phone numbers then begin charging them monthly fees. Imagine going to a site that was basically ad free then overnight this happened.  A number of users were scammed by the ads.

I understand the need for one to monetize a website, in order to keep up with rising server costs, but to harm your own loyal users is shameful. In ZeroSec’s case, they had higher expenses than most release blogs, for they hosted their own content and pictures instead of relying on free image hosting sites to do the dirty work.  So at this point most users had lost some faith in the site and in the new management. But everyone expected the content to keep flowing and a new team to be named. Then surprisingly, the malicious new owners proceeded to target former owner ReeGed and editors pandaking, Untamed and the rest of the crew. Who were then locked out of their wordpress accounts, without being able to issue new posts and/or proper goodbye notices. Owner Reeged managed to get this note out to viewers last month:

Regarding Recent Changes – By ReeGed:

As there has been a lot of concern recently about the ownership of ZeroSec and some of the malicious ads that have been put up on the frontpage, I hope to bring some more understanding as to how and why this has happened in this post.

First of all let me confirm that Pandaking, Untamed and I have intended to step down as admins of ZeroSec for quite some time now. A mixture of lack of time, lack of ambition for the project and excitement for other web based plans caused us to attempt to find someone interested in taking this project over.

We knew that finding someone with the same ideals for ZeroSec as us would be nearly impossible, but we saw interest in many directions. For quite some time now we’ve had plans for other projects and the only way to fully engage those plans would be to either completely end ZeroSec as a site, or pass it on to a new owner. We felt that the most reasonable solution for both our visitors and ourselves would be the latter.

Unfortunately as control of the site was passed on to the new adminship, some of the key points we asked for (such as a goodbye post) were forgotten. Our accounts have been removed and we’re currently unable to do anything about it without the approval of the new owner, which we will get in due time.

Either way, the intention of leaving the site in new hands was always to enable the rise of a new site, Project X. This is an as of yet unnamed site which we hope to develop if everything goes as planned, but will require some startup capital.

Regarding the mobile pop-up ads, we have been promised that they will be removed shortly. Also, you can expect a goodbye post from Pandaking, Untamed and myself in the coming couple of days.

Over a month has passed, with new management at the helm and most of the sites regular content has dried up. But I and other loyal followers who still visit the site, have noticed that content wise, only some TV show releases are being posted and a couple movies per week. It’s been over a month since the switch and you figure new editors would be ready by now or at least one other person would be posting, besides the ninja assassin scorff from the previous regime. Why would anyone in their right mind follow this path of destruction after paying thousands of dollars for a new website or business?  Well the only plausible answers to that is someone who is either completely incompetent, a competitor and/or an enemy of the site. The last man standing scorff issued this statement last night:

So lets see what happened here…

1. ZeroSec was sold (on or before January 4th 2010).
2. New owners plastered the site with malicious ads.
3. New owners started moving the site to their own servers before anyone (including themselves) were ready to do so.
4. New owners deleted old admins wordpress accounts before they were able to post an article announcing the change of ownership and reasons for selling.
5. In removing their accounts we are unable to add any new editors.
6. New owners failed to provide editors with the tools they need (automation scripts, access to image server, ability to add new tv shows to database).
7. New owners have made no attempt to contact or converse with editors.
8. Most current editors decided to leave.

So here we are now with no active editors, no way to add new editors, no access to the image server and no ability to add new TV shows to the database system. I urge you all to not believe the lies being spread in the comments, from other “release blogs” and from filesharing news sites. The reasons for the sale of the site have been made very clear by ReeGed in the forums; to raise capital to fund the development and start-up of a new and unique type of warez site. There are no updates as of yet about this new site.

If ZeroSec’s forums do go down anytime soon, we are in a position to have them up on a new domain quite soon after as I for one don’t want to loose the community that has grown there.

So from me and on behalf of the old admins and editors, it’s been fun, but we all got screwed over by these new owners.

After searching through multiple shady Torrent Invite Forums, with a desire to find the hottest torrent private trackers on the net, we have put together a list of the most sought after trackers of the year.  The criteria for this list was based on how many wanted posts for a particular tracker there were and how much money sellers were asking.

The torrent tracker landscape is constantly evolving and growing. We entered this year with the loss of ScT, one of the most sought after and greatest trackers ever to exist. Who decided to shut down, due most likely to legal pressure it was experiencing.  In the coming year who will fall and who will rise depends on the strength of their communities, their generosity and of course the legal environment. Each of these trackers below fulfill their niche and do it well. Whether your looking for the fastest pre-times, 0day releases, HD movies, Music, Games, TV shows, E-learning files etc they are well covered by this list. Out of respect for the trackers below we will not link to any of them in this post.

#1 – HDBits  

HDBits.org is one of the best BitTorrent trackers, that primarily focuses on high definition content. Without question the hardest tracker invite to get on the net. People will pimp their sisters, cute cousins, trade all the invites and accounts they may have to get into this tracker. Invites are handed out by staff to special members who either sell them or give them away to trusted sources. Last December, they planned a 24 hour open invite sign-up, but that was quickly cancelled thanks to so many invite sellers trying to make a quick buck. We recently found an auction for one invite that closed at over 240 Euros. Some insiders recommend joining its sister site sdbits.org, in hopes of building strong enough stats to be granted a membership at HDBits.

#2 – FTN

FTN is another highly coveted and prized tracker. They specialize in 0day releases, have excellent pre-times, a no-ratio system and have large movie packs which makes them a great all around tracker. Membership in this community is capped at 6k members and invites are handed out by staff to their respected members. One of my good friends still teases me for not having an account here but I refuse to buy one.  So if any FTN member/staff happens to read this article and feels insanely generous, i need an invite please lol. Now you can add me to the list of thousands begging for an FTN invite. Also beware of scammers pretending to have cheap invites. Invite prices range from 50 to 150 Euros, and are typically traded for multiple other tracker accounts or an HDbits account.  Good luck with that scene.

#3 – TT

The hands down, second to none, best private music tracker on the net. Specializing in all genres of trance music including house, hardcore, funk, ambient, electric, electronic dance,  and everything else i’m not hip enough to list techno wise. It’s devoted 8k members form a tight knit community and their loyal uploaders share allot of music exclusive to their tracker. Invites or accounts are hard to come by and can be found online for around 30 to 40 Euros.

#4 – BCG

The leading and best games tracker on this planet. BlackCats-Games has loads of seeders, massive amounts of content, a great Seed Points system. It also features a  recycled system, where old torrents are moved onto the front page, allowing them to live on for much longer than most other trackers retention spans. You don’t need a fast connection to maintain a good ratio here due to so much activity amongst its 30k or so members. All these features make this a wonderful tracker. Invites can typically be aquired for other good tracker trades or 15 to 25 Euros.

#5 – CN

CN is a small secretive tracker focused primarily on movies and file sharing. They pride themselves on being different and they ask every member to be active, contribute and be passionate about movies in general.  How intense are they? Well their recent IRC invite questioner alone asks for 4 torrent tracker screenshot profiles.  It’s clear they want people who download as much as they seed. If your a ratio whore and/or a tracker collector you most likely will get turned down by them or lose your account eventually. Invites are rarely found and can be had for around 20+ Euros.

#6 – BITME

Bitme.org is the best e-learning torrent site. It consists of around 20k members and it’s content is based on categories like 3D, AppDev, Art, Audio, CBT, Dating, DIY, Math, Music Learning, Religion, Sports etc. One could spend hours downloading materials and how to’s but at the same time it’s a little difficult maintaining a good upload ratio when downloading primarily older content. The membership appears to be capped and invites only given to whom it deems as qualified members every 30 days. A great ratio and/or high upload stats will not guarantee an invite. You will usually find them for sale for around 13 to 20 Euros.

#7 – SCC

SCC is one of the fastest scene only 0day release sites.  It has stellar pre-times and loads (over 30k) of free leech torrents mostly comprised of MP3/0Day & Archive releases.  It’s members are civilized and armed with fast seedboxes resulting in excellent download speeds. Good luck attaining a high upload ratio here with a slow connection. I cringe thinking about it. SCC members can donate, essentially buying upload credits and invites starting at 10 Euros per invite. So invites aren’t too difficult to find and will cost you anywhere from 10 to 20 Euros.

#8 – BitmeTV

BitMeTV is focused purely on TV shows from around the globe. It is the undisputed leading TV torrent tracker with over 18k torrents and over 20k members, with a 25k member limit. In general download speeds are fast and one can get in and out of a torrent with a 1.0 upload/download ratio fairly quickly. It has excellent pre-times and a nice community with relaxed seeding rules. As for invites they are automatically handed out in 30 day increments depending on the ratio of the user. So at certain times of the month you will find users with multiple invites who are eager to sell or trade them away. I have seen invites raise in price over the past two months and are now selling for about 10 to 15 Euros per invite.

#9 – TL

Torrentleech has around 180k members and 25k indexed torrents. It has excellent pre-times on 0day torrents and especially non scene releases. Types of torrents include movies, music, software/games, E-books, TV shows, and cartoons but no adult content. If I were stuck on a remote island with broadband, already had some women to cater to my daily needs, and I could only take one tracker with me it would be TL. Armed with a decent seedbox I can get in and out of a torrent and fully seed it in a matter of minutes. But a seedbox or a fast connection isn’t a requirement here.  Invites are given to VIP’s from time to time, on IRC and can be found online for around 7 to 10 Euros.

#10 – GFT

GFT is a very good tracker with fast release times. It caters to its members for only uploads are counted (no ratio system) and their is a nice torrent request system. It indexes around 21k torrents including music, movies, software/games, E-books, TV shows, cartoons/animation and adult content. The download/upload speeds are fast but as of late the site has had server issues. Invites can be purchased by members for 5 Euros a piece and found online for usually 10 Euros.

HDS specializes in tracking HD movies, TV shows, HQ audio and music videos. HD Space private community currently has 8,566 members and tracks 1,067 torrents. Most of the videos are in high depth format usually 720p or 1080p Blu-Ray (x264) material. They index both scene and non scene releases. HD Space’s own internal encoder group SpaceHD, releases exclusively on this tracker. Invites are currently open for a limited undisclosed period.

We hear from FILEnetworks Blog that SceneSound, a successful scene only music tracker, that has enjoyed a  growing and loyal following amongst music lovers across the globe, has opened registrations for the next 24 hrs.  The tracker currently tracks around 20000 torrents, consisting of MP3 and FLAC torrents.
